The head of “Rosteh” Medvedev promised to release the first Russian tablet in 2016

By the end of 2016 can be released to production the first Russian tablet and e-textbooks. This was told by the General Director of the rostec Corporation Sergey Chemezov at a meeting with Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev on Friday.

The head of Rostec told about the work on the textbook, which will have two screens: a color for graphics and black and white- for text.

“Electronic textbooks are developed, already have the software. We are now working on the design, they will as book: tutorial be color for images, graphics and black and white – for text, the children did not spoil the vision – black and white more useful,” said Sergey Chemezov. The head of government stressed that these devices should launch by the end of next year.

The head of “Rosteh” Medvedev also has informed that next year may also be running the third version of Russian smartphone. “It is now the third version is being prepared. I think that next year we can run”, — said Sergey Chemezov.

The first Russian smartphone YotaPhone, which is engaged in release of Yota Devices (25% owned by “Rosteh”) Chemezov showed Medvedev in December 2013. Then the head of Rostec told the Prime Minister about the second phone screen and received the award at the exhibition in Las Vegas. Medvedev responded with a joke: “in short, Apple is getting nervous”. Chemezov replied in the affirmative.

In December 2014, the CEO of Yota Devices Vladislav Martynov presented the second version of the smartphone — YotaPhone 2.

Back in 2011 the head of “RUSNANO” Anatoly Chubais has presented to Vladimir Putin holding then a post of the Prime Minister, e-book Plastic Logic 100, which was supposed to replace conventional textbooks in Russian schools. The devices were released in limited edition. However, after the experiment, production was curtailed.
