The head of BlackBerry has criticized Apple’s security policy and encouraged to cooperate with the police

BlackBerry head John Chen has criticized the security policy of Apple, which refuses to grant law enforcement access to smartphones of suspects. According to the Director General, security policy canadian company “does not apply to criminals.”

In exceptional cases, companies should provide data to users on request of the state. Chen supports the government, which intends to compel IT companies to disable the encryption on the device.

Note that in may of this year, Apple wrote an open letter to President Obama, asking it to reject any proposals concerning changes in current policies for the protection of personal data of users.
