Xiaomi is preparing for the presentation of two new flagship products: smartphone Xiaomi Mi5S that will act as improved versions of the top Mi5, and the phablet Xiaomi Mi Note 2 – the successor to the original Mi Note. According to informed sources, the new device “Chinese Apple” will be equipped with a pressure-sensitive displays.
It is noted that the screen size of Xiaomi Mi5S will be increased from 5.15 to 5.5 inches. In addition to pressure sensitive screen it will receive the ultrasonic fingerprint scanner, which will be located under the display panel and may be able to boast of a double main camera.
Despite the fact that Huawei was the first manufacturer to release a smartphone with support for Touch Force, the most famous in the market got the 3D Touch technology in the iPhone 6s, which surpasses analogues in smartphones running Android. And if the insiders are confirmed, Xiaomi needs to eliminate this backlog. Moreover, the development of improved versions of the Touch Force is not only Xiaomi, but also the same Huawei who expect to implement it in S2 Mate.
As for the Xiaomi Mi Note 2, this model is equipped with a 5.7-inch screen with a resolution of 1920×1080 pixels, and its basis is expected to be the Snapdragon 820. However, some sources indicate the use of the device more powerful versions of the Snapdragon chip 821, complemented by a ceramic body.
Xiaomi Mi Note Mi5S and 2 will be presented in August 2016. The start of sales of new products expected at the end of the summer.
