New flagship smartphone Huawei P9 will get its own single-chip platform Kirin 950 with 8-core processor. We now know the result of testing the smartphone in the benchmark Geekbench, and it seems that this machine is ready to challenge the iPhone 6s.
If the information is true, then Huawei P9 will become the new record holder in Geekbench multi-core test with the result 7313 points. This is more than previously demonstrated MediaTek Helio X20, who scored 7037 points. For comparison, the result of a 2-core processor Apple A9 in the iPhone 6s is 4330. However in the mode of testing single-core Kirin 950 scored “only” 2018 2487 points against the “Apple” competitor.
Kirin 950 processor contains eight cores: this Quartet of Cortex-A72 to clock up to 2.53 GHz and Quartet Cortex-A53 with a frequency up to 1.8 GHz. In addition, the composition of products includes i5 processor, designed to keep undemanding to resources of the application. Graphics processing task embedded controller Mali T880MP4.
It should be noted that while there is no evidence that benchmark scores are not fake, everything will be the real test of the product. Yet its weighty word in the clash of the titans say the communicators Helio X20 and Exynos 8890.
Last week, the Network appeared sketches of Huawei P9, on which the smartphone will get an updated design, dual main camera and physical button under the screen, which will serve as a fingerprint scanner. The device should get a 5.2-inch display and 4 GB of RAM.
If you believe the network sources, Huawei P9 will be released in four versions. It will not be presented at MWC in February 2016: according to rumors, the company has scheduled the announcement at a separate event in March.
