The flagship Huawei P9 with processor Kirin 950 is able to outperform the iPhone 6s

New flagship smartphone Huawei P9 will get its own single-chip platform Kirin 950 with 8-core processor. We now know the result of testing the smartphone in the benchmark Geekbench, and it seems that this machine is ready to challenge the iPhone 6s.

If the information is true, then Huawei P9 will become the new record holder in Geekbench multi-core test with the result 7313 points. This is more than previously demonstrated MediaTek Helio X20, who scored 7037 points. For comparison, the result of a 2-core processor Apple A9 in the iPhone 6s is 4330. However in the mode of testing single-core Kirin 950 scored “only” 2018 2487 points against the “Apple” competitor.

Kirin 950 processor contains eight cores: this Quartet of Cortex-A72 to clock up to 2.53 GHz and Quartet Cortex-A53 with a frequency up to 1.8 GHz.
