At CES 2017, the company ASUS has announced a new flagship smartphone ZenFone Zoom 3. The phone’s design was similar to the iPhone 7 Plus is due to the presence of dual cameras, the characteristic of the antenna strips and the selected manufacturer colors.
Besides the obvious similarities with “Apple” Communicator, 3 ZenFone Zoom has awarded a 5.5-inch display with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels, 8-core platform Snapdragon 625, 4 GB of RAM, a battery of 5,000 mAh and front camera is 13 megapixels. Options built-in flash memory of three 32, 64 and 128 GB. The developers have dubbed the new thin and light smartphone with a screen diagonal of 5.5 inches.
In place of the main camera is equipped with two 12-megapixel module with an aperture of f/1.7 and a focal length of 25 mm for the first and 59 mm for the second. Together, they they provide a 2.3-fold optical zoom and blur the background in portrait mode “just like a DSLR”.
3 in ZenFone Zoom is applied fast phase detection autofocus spending on focus 0.03 s, laser assistant autofocus second generation (the developers say about tripled the range), the system of optical stabilization. The camera also allows to record video with resolution of 3840 x 2160 pixels at 30 fps.
The battery life of 3 ZenFone Zoom at least on paper it looks good: the battery of the smartphone provides up to 25 hours of surfing the Internet through Wi-Fi connection, allows over 6 hours to shoot 4K video. Autonomy in standby mode is up to 42 days, talk time in 3G network up to 48 hours. In device mode mobile battery — 3 ZenFone Zoom can share energy with other devices.
Dimensions and weight the ZenFone Zoom amount to 3 154,3 x 77 x 7,99 mm and 170 grams. ASUS plans to start smartphone sales in the second quarter, its price is not yet announced.
