The FAS is considering the dismissal of a case against Apple’s iPhone service in Russia

The Federal Antimonopoly service (FAS) of Russia does not exclude the termination of the case against Apple for servicing. This was announced by Deputy head of FAS Andrey tsarikovskiy at the St. Petersburg International legal forum.

“We have already received all documents, we will see how really opened (service center). If that’s the case, I would like the President (of the Commission — ed.) would suggest to dismiss the case,” said Tsarikovsky.

As told the head of Department for control over Commerce and social sphere Timofey Nizhegorodtsev, the FAS do intend to drop the case against Apple if the company eliminated all violations, violate the rights of consumers. “While we believe that they did a great job,” he said.

Earlier, the FAS issued a warning to Apple about the service and ordered prior to may 1, to open one service center in Russia. In late April, the iPhone maker announced the discovery in Russia of authorized service centers that can repair a damaged iPhone screen.
