The development of a jailbreak for Apple TV tvOS 10.1 completed, release soon

As we wrote in late January, independent developers are finalizing Yalu102 jailbreak hacker Luke Todesco for Apple TV. As stated today programmer Jonathan Lewis, known under the name Morpheus, work on exploits for tvOS 10.1 completed, the release of the public version of the tool will be held in the near future.

“I had to buy another copy of Apple TV with iOS 10.1 to replace damaged, but the jailbreak for tvOS ready! All the details and will release in the near future,” wrote the hacker.

Jailbreak for Apple TV will be compatible with tvOS 10.0-10.1. It is understood that, just as in the case of iOS, version tvOS 10.1 is not the latest. In release 10.1.1 developers, Apple has closed the vulnerability necessary for the operation of the jailbreak tool.

Although the jailbreak for iOS 10 came out last year, Apple TV 4G long been deprived of the attention of hackers. This is easily explained: the number of users of the set top box is disproportionately less than the owners of iPhone and iPad. Hackers, for obvious reasons, prefer to work with the more popular platforms.

Previously, the developer nitoTV lamented that if he doesn’t do jailbreak Apple TV, then this is unlikely to work on someone else.

Anyway, today’s post hackers means the release of the jailbreak for Apple TV will be held in the near future. And it has a lot of advantages for owners of “Apple” set-top box, from installing themes, ending with the downloading of non-approved to tvOS App Store software.
