A study conducted by the analytical company comScore, showed that the audience of iPhone owners in the United States reached its historic high.
As of the end of December last year in the US, there were 85.8 per million users of Apple’s smartphone age 13 and older. The flagship model of the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus is about 15% of the total.
According to analysts, the most popular are two previous generation iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus versions, which owns almost half of the market. One in five (18%) of owners of “Apple” communicators still use iPhone 5s, iPhone 5c or iPhone 5.
Experts Kantar Worldpanel and Markit IHS concluded that the iPhone is the most popular smartphone in the U.S. and around the world. The results from comScore indicate that in the U.S., the share of iOS is 43% and Android is 54%.
Earlier, research firm CIRP reported that the iPhone audience in the United States is 132 million people. It is a rough assumption, made after a survey of 500 users without regard to their age.
