The App store set a record in sales in last quarter

Posting details about financial achievements in the first quarter of 2017, Apple highlighted the App store.

According to Apple, a total of network services App Store, Apple Music, Apple Pay, iCloud and iTunes brought the company more than $7 billion in the last quarter, sales in the App Store increased by 40%. So the company from Cupertino had a record second quarter for App Store in history.

Sale in the App Store has allowed Apple to compensate for the falling demand for the iPhone in China. It is, in particular, on mobile games.

In total, the games names account for 75% of the revenue of the Chinese branch App Store. It is worth noting that last year, China provided about half of the sales growth in the App Store.

In turn, sales of the iPhone in China continue to decline for five quarters in a row. In the last quarter of the reduction in monetary terms amounted to 14.1%. The market share owned by Apple, is reduced under the pressure of local manufacturers, including Oppo, Vivo and Huawei. Now it is about 10%.
