The 10.5-inch iPad Pro will get a display with a resolution 2224 x 1668 and a pixel density of 264 ppi

It is no secret that the focus this year should be a new 10.5-inch iPad with the narrow limits on the sides of the display so that the tablet in its size will be similar to the 9.7-inch models. According to network sources, the device will get a display panel with a resolution 2224 x 1668 pixels. However, he will retain the same density of pixels as the 9.7-inch iPad.

The current model of the iPad Pro come with displays with a resolution of 2048 x 1536 and 2732 x 2048 pixels for the 9.7-inch and 12.9-inch version respectively. In the case of a new edge-to-edge model, the resolution can be increased to 2224 x 1668, and the pixel density will be 264 ppi.

It is known that the narrower part of the Apple can increase the screen size of the iPad, while maintaining the dimensions of the enclosure 9.7-inch version of the iPad Pro. In the future, expect larger versions with a 12.9-inch screen with a larger diagonal and the same dimensions.

According to recent reports, the new iPad will be on sale before the second quarter. In particular, the launch of the 10.5 – 12.9-inch tablets are expected in may or June. They will be based on the new processor A10X. Together with them, Apple will release another iPad. This is the entry-level model equipped with a 9.7-inch display and A9 processor.

Says respected analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, the new 12.9-inch iPad will be an updated model of the iPad Pro, which was first introduced in the fall of 2015. And the focus this year needs to be the 10.5-inch iPad with a narrow framework.
