During the conference, Game Developers Conference, the company has announced the price and date of commencement of sales of the device: it turned out that the new product will be much cheaper now presented on the market.
According to Sony, the company will release its own virtual reality helmet PSVR in October 2016 at a price of $399. Oculus Rift, by comparison, will cost $600, the helmet Vive from Valve and HTC at $800. Russian users will be able to buy the gadget one of the first, as Russia is in the list of countries of the first wave.
Although with the price of the PlayStation VR is not so simple. For the mentioned price, the buyer receives only the device itself, but the PlayStation camera and Move controllers, according to Sony, there is every self-respecting owner of the console.
