Amazon launches on the iOS platform of its own voice assistant, Alexa. The message on it appeared on the official website of the company.
IPhone users, who for whatever reason don’t like talking to Siri, has received an alternative in the face of the Alexa from Amazon. The company has implemented a support of proprietary virtual assistant Alexa in your iOS app.
In order to use Alexa, you must install the latest version of the client Amazon, and then open the program and click on the microphone icon in the search menu. Thus, pressing the “talk” button can be directly given to the Alexa. Voice assistant Amazon is working on a system similar to Siri.
Alexa capable not only look for various products in the Amazon catalogue, but also to control other applications on your smartphone. For example, an iPhone owner can ask to include music with one of the Amazon or to open a book from the library Kindle. Besides, Alexa can ask any question and the program will find the answer in the Network, for example, report traffic jams or the weather.
To use this functionality will require a subscription to Amazon services like Music Unlimited, Prime or Prime Music.
The ability to use the voice assistant will appear when you update the app Amazon. A new version of the app will be released before the end of the week.
