The operator Yota owned by the company “MegaFon”, began selling its own SIM cards in the salons of Russia’s largest mobile retailer Euroset. This is stated in a joint press release from the companies.
The issuance of SIM cards to be produced in 2500 salons retailer in 33 regions, including Moscow, Moscow region, St. Petersburg and the Leningrad region. Yota will pay “Euroset” remuneration for the sold SIM cards, according to 1prime, however, the amount of the fee and other details not specified.
Since the beginning of 2015 was conducted a pilot project for issuing SIM cards Yota 500 stores “Euroset”, which proved beneficial for both sides, the report says.
“Thanks to the expansion of our cooperation with “Euroset” we have significantly increased the distribution network of the mobile operator Yota. In September Yota agreed on the extradition of their SIM cards with another major retailer is “Connected”. Yota in August 2014 began offering voice services on the model of the virtual operator (MVNO) on the network of “MegaFon”. Prior to that, the company is providing only mobile Internet services via modems and routers. After the launch of voice services company for 5 years expects to increase its subscriber base to 10 million (while the company does not disclose the current number of subscribers).
