Security update macOS High Sierra 10.13.1 prohibits sharing the file. There is a solution

November 29, Apple released an urgent update that fixes a security bug where any user could access the system files. Unfortunately, the developers of macOS broke the “Share”function.

Apple is already aware that some users are unable to send files using the built in Share feature. The issue only affects users of macOS High Sierra 10.13.1, setting an urgent security update. On the official Apple support site has posted a solution to the problem:

  • Open the Terminal application which is located in the folder “Programs” → “Utilities”.
  • Write the command sudo / usr / libexec / configureLocalKDC and press Enter.
  • Enter the administrator password and press Enter.
  • To close the terminal.
  • Despite the problems, the security update will continue automatically installed on all Mac computers running on macOS High Sierra 10.13.1.
