Sberbank has launched a payments support Apple Pay for Visa cardholders, shows the description to the update of the official client on the App Store. Previously the payment system was only available for Mastercard.
Apple Pay earned in Russia 4 October 2016. It works anywhere that accepts contactless payments, from supermarkets and hotels to shops, cafes and restaurants. With Apple Pay you can also pay for purchases in many of the popular apps from the App Store.
All this time the Bank had offered to Pay Apple for holders of Mastercard. First payments through Apple became available to Visa cardholders in November last year. The first payment service managed customers Visa “Alfa-Bank” and “Tinkoff Bank”, in December they were joined by cardholders Raiffeisenbank.
Apple Pay now supports fourteen banks (six of which works only with Mastercard) and the system “Yandex.Money,” according to the Apple website.
