On Friday, one of the leading banks in Spain have announced the signing of an agreement with Samsung that will allow Samsung to include Pay in the range of mobile payment services of the Bank. Thus, Spain becomes the first country in Europe in which users can make a payment using the service of mobile payments from Samsung.
In anticipation of international expansion of service South Korean manufacturer has started advertising Samsung Pay. In a promotional video Koreans emphasize the broad support of payment instruments: the service “works even where Apple Pay is not available”.
The advertisement starred the comedian Hannibal Buress. The plot of the video, he walks into a butcher shop and asks to pay for purchases with your smartphone. The seller responded, saying Apple Pay is not supported. It Buress says he has a Samsung Pay, “which works everywhere”. Samsung Pay has been launched in South Korea in August 2015 and the US in September last year. Samsung also announced the launch of Samsung Pay in China, Australia, Brazil and Singapore. Apple Pay already works in the USA, the UK, Canada and Australia. In the near future the technology should earn in China.
