Samsung Galaxy S8+ with the Snapdragon chip 835 was powerful iPhone 7 Plus in multi-core mode

In the Internet appeared the results of performance testing has not yet officially presented smartphone Samsung Galaxy S8+. In the benchmark Geekbench, the South Korean smartphone lost iPhone 7 Plus when performing tasks that involve a single core, but surpassed rival in the multi-core test mode.

Korean camera appears under the catalog number SM-G955U and is based on the chip msm8998, better known as the top-end Qualcomm Snapdragon processor 835. Memory in the smartphone 4 GB instead of the intended 6 GB, and the operating system is Android 7.0.

In test mode one core, which plays the role of the architecture-that is, performance in single-core mode of operation, the flagship of Samsung has scored points in 1929, and in multi-core – 6084 points. For comparison, the most powerful processor Apple 10 Fusion, presents the iPhone 7 Plus, demonstrates the result of 3512 and 6083 points, respectively. Thus, with eight cores, S8, Galaxy surpassed iPhone 7 performance in multi-threaded mode.

10-nanometer chip, Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 is equipped with a group of four cores with a frequency of 2.45 GHz and 2 MB cache memory, and a cluster of four energy-efficient cores with frequency of 1.6 GHz and 1 MB cache.

The announcement of the Galaxy S8+ is expected along with the Galaxy S8 on Wednesday, March 29, and the start of sales is scheduled for April 21.
