Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8+ compare in size with the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus

The upcoming flagship smartphone Samsung Galaxy S8 will get a large display, which is the marketing name Infinity Display. A distinctive feature of the screen will fill more of the front panel and its side edges. With this solution the device is much more compact with a larger display diagonal.

The difference in dimensions can be monitored on a fresh rendering of the Galaxy S8 and S8+ with the 5.7 and 6.8-inch displays, respectively. The device compared with the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus, which allowed you to visually evaluate the difference before the official announcement of the South Korean devices.

From pictures we can draw several conclusions. First, Galaxy S8 will have, but above its predecessors. Also Galaxy S8+ — almost the same width as the Galaxy Note 7, but 5.5 mm above. While Galaxy S8+ is only a few tenths of millimeters above the iPhone 7 Plus, but noticeable. Although the screen size of the latter is “only” 5.5 inches.

The official presentation of the Samsung Galaxy S8 will be held March 29 in London and new York. Last week it was reported that the company has held the closed presentation of the smartphone within 2017 MWC in Barcelona. To test the flagship was attended by representatives of several mobile operators, who were obliged to provide their identification and sign the obligation not to disclose information.

The price of Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8+ are already known. The first will cost €799 ($845) in the basic configuration, and the version of S8+ will ask for €899 ($950).
