Samsung broke the rules while testing batteries Galaxy Note 7

While Apple and other smartphone manufacturers use a third-party company to test the battery of their devices, Samsung has tested the Galaxy Note battery 7 alone. About it writes on Monday, The Wall Street Journal.

In order to sell mobile devices in the U.S., manufacturers must test batteries in one of the 28 certified laboratories to ensure compliance with the standards established by the Institute of electrical and electronics USA.

Samsung is the only manufacturer who ignored these requirements. The representative of the South Korean brand claims that the company during its own testing found no problems with batteries of the Galaxy Note 7.

The interlocutor of the edition said that “the company is working around the clock” to determine the causes that led to the explosions Galaxy Note 7. He noted that “to discuss the results of the investigation”is premature.

Informed sources close to Samsung have reported that the company failed to repeat in the laboratory the situation with spontaneous fire of its smartphones. Even a month after the first reports of the explosions of devices, the South Korean engineers are unable to accurately diagnose the cause of the problem.

“In pursuit of the iPhone the South Korean manufacturer tried to pack the smartphone innovation that they have become uncontrollable”, — commented the source of The Verge.
