Users of Apple gadgets will soon be able to add to your collection another invention — an iPhone with a sapphire screen. On this hint the head producer of sapphire monocrystal Oleg Kachalov.
According to the head of holding “the crystal”, this innovation will help to increase protective functions of the smartphone screen. According to Kachalov, there will be no scratches, no cuts, no cracks on the display of the gadget due to the fact that the sapphire screen is extremely durable and will serve for dozens of years faithfully.
Also, according to Kachalova, will increase the accuracy of the response to the unit person, that will lead to improved control of sapphire novelty.
Apple is one of the main partners of “Crystal”. The American giant computer electronics company orders from an artificial sapphire for the Apple Watch and the iPhone. Now, according to “Crystal”, about 40% of its supplies accounted for two-inch wafers (used in the Apple Watch), 60% — on a four-inch. The end of the year the plant plans to increase the production capacity by 20% and take 30% of the world market. More than 98% of the production of “single Crystal” is exported.
In July the “single crystal” for the first time in the world raised a 300-kilogram crystal of sapphire using the kyropoulos method with its own technology. The company has 30 years of experience in sapphire production, previously there already was grown sapphires weighing 100 kg and 140 kg.
