The first virtual race will take place in Russia on April 15, in which real autopilots will take part. It is organized by the LADA Sport ROSNEFT team and the creators of the RaceRoom simulator, on whose platform the competitions will take place.
The race will take place at the famous Malaysian Sepang circuit. Unlike the stages of the LADA e-Championship, which is carried out by AvtoVAZ together with RaceRoom, any touring class car can participate in the race. But, of course, the specially prepared LADA Vesta TCR is of particular interest:
Such a car received a 1.8-liter aluminum engine Renault M5P. It gives out 350 l. from. The sequential Sadev box is paired with him.
Within the framework of the race, three sessions will be held: practice for five minutes, qualification race lasting 15 minutes and the race for 40 minutes.
The race will include damage. But more realism is needed: fuel consumption will also be real. Racers can use an automatic transmission, ABS, traction control, but in this case the car will be loaded with weight.
The list of riders has already been made public. It included not only Russian pilots, but also journalists and one member of the Renault Sport Cars team, Frenchman Lauren Hurghon:
The race will begin on April 15 at 19:00 Moscow time. You can follow her in the official LADA Sport ROSNEFT group.
This is far from the first race in which real pilots take part. Earlier, we talked about the stage of Formula 1, where cybersportsmen and participants in the teams of the royal series of different times competed:
