Kia plans to offer Russian consumers “advanced” versions of their models that support CarPlay automotive platform. The automaker is confident that Apple’s multimedia technology will make customers ‘ lives easier by simplifying the communication driver while driving.
In the middle of 2016 on the market will be Kia with its on-Board systems that support Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. About it in interview to the portal Motor Page told Evgenia Teterina, leading specialist of corporate communications at Kia Motors Rus.
“Now Kia is one of the pioneers in the introduction of the cars capabilities with mobile platforms through the Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. This technology will be available on some Kia models in Russia in mid-2016. Followed by the development of services and applications” – said the representative of the company.
What exact models will get a new multimedia systems, not specified. Most likely, we are talking about expensive Kia, the Quoris sedan for example (the price – from 2 339 900 rubles) or the crossover Sorento Prime (2 129 900 rubles).
