Russian providers have limited user access to popular VPN service Hide.me after the website address was introduced by Roskomnadzor in the register is prohibited. This is stated in the message Agency, published on the official page in Facebook.
The ground for blocking a VPN service was the decision of the court, which recognized illegal information on the page, which describes ways of obtaining access to prohibited materials, including the acknowledged extremist and included into Federal list of extremist materials to which access is restricted to the territory of Russia.
The report also notes that on the same basis was previously blocked site page of the organization “Roskomsvoboda”, but then the description of methods of bypass of locks on it was changed, and the page was excluded from the registry.
