With every iOS update, Apple adds 10 new features and fixes current bugs. However, the problem with autonomy has owners iPhone and iPad with the first version. Fortunately, there are several ways to rectify the fault.
Check installed applications
Before you accuse iOS 10 of all sins, think about what drain the battery maybe something else. First of all check the installed apps. Most likely, some of the programs too affects the autonomy.
Go to Settings -> Battery and use the function “Use the battery”. iOS will show which app consume the most energy.
If you see abnormal discharge, open the App Store and check the updates of the programs, because often with updates, the developers fix bugs. In the absence of updates, try to reinstall the program. It can solve the problem with the battery.
Check widgets
Widgets are extremely important in iOS 10. But, if you have a lot of interactive elements, this can reduce the operating time on a single charge.
For starters, being on the home screen, swipe to the right, scroll through the list of widgets until the very end and click “Change”. Here you will see a large list of services and applications that work with widgets. To remove a widget, simply tap the red circle next to it.
Use the power saving mode
If you have not used the battery saving mode in iOS, now is the time. This mode is extremely important, as it allows to save 10-20% charge. To activate go to Settings -> Battery and turn on the “power saving Mode”.
Use Airplane Mode
If you were suddenly faced with the rapid battery consumption, it may be due to the fact that you’re in an area with poor coverage of the cellular network. When you are “dead zone” the iPhone is actively trying to look for a signal that affects the autonomy. In this case, it is recommended to activate offline mode.
Airplane mode is located at the beginning of the Settings menu. Its inclusion disables all wireless technologies but Wi-Fi and Bluetooth can be activated separately.
Disable iCloud keychain
If you do not store passwords in iCloud, try to disable the “iCloud keychain”. To do this, go to Settings -> iCloud -> keychain access and deactivate the feature. If positive result, it is always possible to include.
Restrict the updating of applications in the background
Whether you need to each application update content in the background? No? Then you should disable the background updates, which has a positive impact on productivity and on autonomy of your device.
Open Settings -> General -> Update content and disable the feature entirely or update individual apps.
Adjust the screen brightness
Apple devices use osamenost sensor to automatically adjust screen brightness. Sometimes these sensors work well, sometimes not, so if you have problems with running time better manually set brightness settings.
Try disabling auto brightness. To do this go to Settings -> Screen brightness. After switching off aftertaste you will be able to configure it yourself through the control Point.
Turn off the “Raise to activate”
The Raise function to Wake is very useful, but the trip can have a positive impact on battery life, since the coprocessor will not continuously to register the position of the iPhone. Open Settings -> Display & brightness and disable the “Raise to activate”.
Restart the iPhone or iPad
The fastest solution may be a reboot of the gadget. Press and hold the power button and then swipe to turn off the device. This often allows to solve problems with the battery.
You can also try to perform a “hard reset”. To do this hold down the power button and the Home button (the volume button down on the iPhone 7 and 7 Plus) for 10 seconds. Any data you lose.
Reset all settings
If none of the above helps, try a more radical method – reset. Open Settings -> General -> Reset and hit “Reset all settings”. After that, all your settings will be returned to the factory.
Run the downgrade
For a limited period after the update you can revert to a previous iOS version. However, take care of it as soon as possible, because after some time, Apple stops signing firmware downgrades are not possible.
Update iOS 10
If you have not installed the latest version of iOS, on the contrary will update the system. There is a high probability that the current Assembly will correct the problem.
Run system restore
To resort to this method should only be the case if nothing else helps, because it temporarily removes data from your device. After installing iOS 10 you can restore all information using the backup.
Connect your iPhone to your computer and save a backup on your PC. You can also create a backup in iCloud.
Turn off Find my iPhone. Settings -> iCloud – > Find my iPhone.
In iTunes click “Restore”.
Follow the instructions on the screen, and iOS 10 will be completely reset.
Upon completion, restore your data from a previously created backup.
Take the device for diagnostics
If all else fails, take your device to the experts. Perhaps the problem lies not in the software. If you have warranty on the device, you are free to replace the iPhone.
Buy back case with battery
Cases with an extra battery can look awful and cumbersome, but will help you out in a difficult situation, especially if you go on a journey. Humpback Apple – not the worst option.
Buy external battery
If you value the design of its iPhone and don’t want to spoil it for bulky covers, consider buying a portable charger. Today, these gadgets are very thin and light, but it can many times charge your iPhone.
