Published packaging design retail versions of Windows 10

The authors of the German resource WinFuture has released images of packaging for retail versions of the operating systems Windows 10 Home, Windows 10 Pro. Apparently, this is the last time Microsoft releases a “boxed” version of the platform, as the company intends to transfer the operating system to the regular updates.

Historically, the Windows operating system received major releases are typically several years. This system of evolution was introduced several decades ago. With the release of Windows 10 will change: in Microsoft named a new platform is the latest version of Windows. The company said it has decided to refuse the release of the global lump-sum update packages for Windows 10, constantly releasing small updates and improvements.

Windows 10 will be available for download on July 29. On the day of release not everyone who wants to upgrade from Windows 7 and 8.1 will be able to do it. The first update of the system will be the participants of the Windows Insider program and Windows 10 will become accessible to more users. The paid version of Windows 10 (for those who have not been established legally, “Windows”) will cost $119 for Home Windows 10 and $199 for Windows 10 Pro. Upgrading from Home to Pro will cost $99.

According to rumors, Microsoft conducts internal testing of the final Assembly number 10240. Version 10240.16384.150709-1700 can be demonstrated to the partners at the event Windows Partner Conference on July 15 in the U.S. and why it is July 29, will appear as the final release.
