The city authorities have created an application, operating on the principle of the game Pokemon Go. In the Russian analogue of the user is photographed with the 3D counterparts of historical figures, which will first have to “catch up” and “catch”.
“Users will be able to shoot with Viktor Tsoi, Yuri Gagarin, Alexander Pushkin, Peter Tchaikovsky, Mikhail Lomonosov, Ivan the Terrible, Peter the great, Napoleon Bonaparte, Tsar Alexei Mikhailovich”,— said on the website of the municipality. The app will be available for smartphones on iOS and Android in late August.
As explained by the representative of the Department, the character of the application “registers” on location with geotags. “As soon as the user is within a radius of 50 m from the desired coordinates, he is able to see and record a virtual character using the camera of a smartphone with the application installed”,— told in Department.
A virtual character can turn 360 degrees, zoom in and out. In addition, the application will appear a game piece. “We hid the exact address of the digital counterparts, they can be found, moving the compass from the menu. In the future we will be able to easily replicate the characters for a few connected with their destiny addresses and to centrally change their place of “residence”, announced in search of a hero”,— told in Department.
The task of the Russian authorities call app calling attention to cultural heritage with the help of fashion augmented reality technology. Also, according to authorities, the citizens will have a reason to walk more.
