Game Pokemon Go in just 19 days since start have been downloaded and installed on mobile devices users around the world more than 75 million times. It is reported by Analytics firm Sensor Tower, specializing in the analysis of the market of mobile applications.
According to analysts, Pokemon Go has been installed 50 million times to users of the Android platform. This is a record figure for a mobile game: for example, the game Color Switch to achieve the same number of downloads it took 77 days, Slither.io – 81 day, Candy Crash Saga Jelly – 112 days. If to consider not only Google, but Apple, then the total number of downloads Pokemon Go has already surpassed 75 million worldwide. The game is currently available for download in the App Store and Google Play.
According to analysts, it took less than three weeks considering that the game was released on 5 July in Australia and New Zealand, and a day later in the US. As stressed by Sensor Tower, previously no other application for smartphones have not reached this figure in such a short time.
“For most games and applications for mobile devices to overcome the mark of 10 million downloads — this is a “marathon”, — said the head of market research programs for smartphones Randy Nelson. — Pokemon Go have coped with this distance, with the sprint speed.”
The analyst did not rule out that within the first 60 days after release of the game will reach 100 million downloads. For comparison, the popular mobile Dating app Tinder has reached 100 million downloads only in January of this year, while it was launched back in 2012.
Last week, Apple announced that Pokemon Go set a record for number of downloads in the App Store. The game is set during the first week after the release more times than any other app for the same term. Apple representatives, however, did not disclose exactly how many users have downloaded the game.
