Pavel Durov had a fight with the muggers in San Francisco

The founder and former CEO of social network “Vkontakte” Pavel Durov in the USA was attacked by robbers. He said this in his Twitter.

The incident occurred on the streets of San Francisco: the film had a fight with a few unknowns who tried to take away his phone.

“Just got into a fight with guys who tried to take my phone near Mission 980. Dangerous area? Not for a Russian,” Durov wrote in English. Also the founder of “Vkontakte” have attached a photo of his injured hands. The number of attackers, he said. In the comments Durov said that he managed to “beat” your phone.

The post commented on former U.S. Ambassador to Russia Michael McFaul. He invited Laura to Stanford and noted that in Palo Alto for the founder of “Vkontakte” it would be safer.

Pavel Durov who ran Vkontakte in 2006, was sacked as CEO of the social network in April of last year. Shortly before he sold his share in the company (11,99%) Ivan Taurino, a business partner of billionaire Alisher Usmanov, controlling Mail.ru Group. Later Mail.ru bought shares of “Vkontakte” Tavrina and the Fund UCP Ilya Sherbovich, becoming the sole owner of “Vkontakte”.

Pavel Durov left Russia in April 2014. The entrepreneur, the main project which to date is the messenger Telegram, then said it has no plans to return home. In his opinion, Russia “incompatible with Internet business at the moment”. In March, in an interview with Wired Durov said that remains “homeless” and feels comfortable in San Francisco, London, Berlin. “I don’t want to depend on some place or the government,” he said.
