OnePlus copied the design of iPhone 7 Plus and the Apple trolls for a waiver from the audio Jack

Yesterday the company OnePlus officially unveiled its new flagship smartphone OnePlus 5. As expected, externally, the device strongly resembles an iPhone 7 Plus.

When you first look at a model in all-metal housing is seen as a prudent designers OnePlus tried to copy the iPhone 7 Plus: same button layout, dual camera and flash, design plastic inserts.

In this case, this similarity did not prevent the Chinese manufacturer of trolling the Apple during the announcement. Hinting at Apple’s decision to abandon the 3.5 mm connector into the iPhone 7, designer OnePlus Diego Heinz, said:

“At the bottom you will see that we have removed the 3.5 mm headphone Jack. The overall design has become more elegant. Besides, who really needs a headphone Jack? Don’t we have Bluetooth? Just kidding, of course, OnePlus 5 have a headphone Jack”.

Trolling Apple did not stop. Heinz showed the results of a survey on Twitter, which showed that 88% of respondents voted for the headphone Jack.

OnePlus is not the first company that pokes fun at Apple’s decision to abandon the 3.5 mm headphone Jack. Samsung also pointed to this fact during the announcement of the infamous Galaxy Note 7.

Other manufacturers of the first echelon not seen to copy Apple. In 2015, HTC has released a smartphone One A9, which was the exact copy of iPhone 6. And last year HP launched the EliteBook Folio iterating on design 12-inch MacBook.
