OnePlus has announced a new representative of a series of similar smartphones — OnePlus 5, caused a mixed reaction in the network. The unit was an exact copy of the iPhone 7 Plus, and was criticized by users of “Apple” devices.
iPhone year after year raises the bar with record global sales of smartphones, Apple’s design is equal to the number of brands of all sizes. OnePlus did not reinvent the wheel and just took a familiar concept and made a little “gag” in the form of a different approach to streamlining the edges. Despite attempts to make the smart less similar to the iPhone, the similarity, that is, on the face. Network users were quick to christen the new “iPhone for the poor”.
The intent of the manufacturer, OnePlus 5 should be the most balanced device in the flagship segment. In the heart of the machine is the flagship SoC Snapdragon 835 with eight cores Kryo CPU (max frequency up to 2.45 GHz) and a powerful Adreno graphics 540. Depending on the case colors are different characteristics: gray modification can offer 64 GB of internal flash memory and 6 GB of RAM, and the black 128 GB flash drive and 8 GB of RAM.
One of the key innovations OnePlus 5 is the dual rear camera. And the company decided to make a rather unusual combination of wide-angle 16-megapixel conventional camera with a aperture of f/1,7 (Sony IMX 398) and 20-megapixel zoom camera f/2,6 (Sony IMX 350). As in the case with the iPhone 7 Plus and it allows to double the optical zoom, as well as to implement various chips like the bokeh effect. There is autofocus based on phase detection, dual-led flash. The front camera uses a 16-megapixel matrix and lens with aperture f/2.0.
In the US the base model of the OnePlus 5 is $480. For comparison the price of iPhone 7 in the American market starts at $649, and the iPhone 7 Plus with dual camera will cost at least $769.
