On the issue of remote control “DSLRs” with smartphones has collected 10 times more planned amount

Manufacturer of photographic accessories Alpine Labs has introduced the Pulse, with which the iPhone and iPad can be turned into a remote control for SLR cameras. The idea behind the device has found support from Kickstarter users, which in 3 weeks has collected nearly 10 times more than necessary to produce the amount.

The device is a small accessory that is installed into the Shoe and connects to the SLR camera via a USB cord. Via Bluetooth gadget linked to a mobile app on your smartphone and allows you to control almost all functions of the camera: ISO, aperture, shutter speed, etc.

The developers emphasize that Pulse allows you to control three different cameras from your mobile device, because the remote control works not only through the Shoe, but also via USB, the operator can start recording video, which does not allow the majority of its peers. Also through the app you can make settings for shooting time-lapse videos.

The manufacturer claims the support of 60 camera models (except Sony), the companion app works on devices running iOS and Android.
