On Kickstarter to raise money for magnetic stick for iPhone [video]

Despite the fact that modern flash drive for iPhone more compact and are often created in the form of a keychain, many often forget to take them with you. In the case when the mobile regularly does not have enough memory, and the use of conventional Lightning drives is not possible, a startup from new York has developed a compact magnetic drive i.dime.

Special feature is the compact form factor. Sizes i.dime is very small, comparable to the coin, and connects it to the smartphone by installing a special cover. Due to this, the drive does not take up much space and will always be at hand. It is attached to the case using magnets.

It is assumed that such a device would be useful for any iPhone owner. Using i.dime you can easily expand available space on your flash drive and, if necessary, to quickly transfer photos or video to your computer. The storage device has high speed of reading and writing and 90 and 95 MB/s, respectively.

You can order models of 32, 64, 128 or 256 GB in five colors – white, purple, blue, red and grey. The kit comes with several adapters for different connectors.

The developers of the magnetic stick has successfully raised the necessary $50,000 on Kickstarter. Date of manufacture of the accessory is scheduled for August-September of this year, and the first customers will receive their copies of i.dime no later than Nov.
