Next week, the FAS will consider case against Apple for alleged monopolization of the market iPhone repair

On 25 January, the FAS will consider the case against Apple according to the complaint iPhone user, which service centers refused to replace the damaged display of your smartphone. This is stated in the statement of the Antimonopoly regulator.

“The Commission of the FAS Russia will consider a case against the company “eppl Rus” January 25, 2017 in connection with impossibility of consideration of the case on January 17″, — stated in the message.

Earlier FAS received a complaint that in 2016 the service centers was denied to an individual in the replacement of damaged display on your iPhone 6 Plus in the absence of deliveries to Russia the necessary repair components, offering the smartphone owner to replace with a surcharge. The Antimonopoly authority established that the actions of LLC “Apple Rus”, which is a supplier of Apple products in Russia, contains signs of violation of the law on protection of competition “by failing to ensure the possibility of using products of Apple Inc. (iPhone 6, iPhone 6 Plus, iPhone 6s, iPhone 6s Plus) during the term of its service.”

“In the case of confirmation of violations of the legislation according to section 1. article 14.31 of the administrative code officer of the company faces a fine of from 15 to 20 thousand rubles, and the company — from 300 thousand to 1 million rubles. The proceedings in respect of the actions of the LLC “Apple Rus” for violation of part 1 article 10 of the law “On protection of competition” will take place on 17 January 2017″, — quoted the press service of the FAS words of the Deputy head of the regulator Andrei Kashevarov.

Note that the FAS already is in the Apple case for the coordination of the pricing of the iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus, which appeared in Russia in 2015.
