New Yahoo messenger Livetext combines correspondence with the video for a closer communication [video]

Yahoo has announced a new videomessage for iOS devices “Yahoo Livetext – Video Messenger”. The App Store has held a limited release of this app: it is accessible only for users from Hong Kong, Taiwan, and Ireland.

Yahoo Livetext combines the functionality of conventional messaging applications and services for streaming video. Together with a text message, the user can transfer images from your smartphone camera. But the sound will not be: communication occurs only in text mode. According to the developers, Yahoo Livetext will allow you to talk in real time to observe the reaction of his interlocutor.

“We are constantly experimenting, creating new products that delight our users”, – said the representative of Yahoo. The company explained that, in the absence of sound people better perceive facial expressions. Yahoo Livetext eliminates the need to use in correspondence emoticons – all the emotions to show on his face.

It is assumed that the application will be in situations where people cannot receive voice calls, for example, in lectures or meeting. Using Livetext, you can share the emotions of being on a noisy event: concert, sports match, etc.

At the moment, Yahoo Livetext — Video Messenger is available in limited form in the App Store. Yahoo look forward to the successful launch of the project in the near future.
