New tariffs for iCloud will come into force on 25 September

At the presentation on September 9, which was the announcement of the iPhone 6s, iPad Pro and the new Apple TV, it was announced the reduction of tariffs on iCloud. Now for the same money Apple provides an order of magnitude more cloud space. As it became known, the new prices will be available from September 25.

According to Reddit user under the nickname z4cyl, refresh rates to iCloud Drive will be relevant instead of with the launch of the new generation of smartphones – the iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus. This information was revealed in the correspondence employee Apple support.

ICloud Drive acts as a competitor to Dropbox, Google Drive, Yandex.Drive, OneDrive. Last year at WWDC 2014, the company announced that the initial amount of disk space 5 GB free, 20 GB will have to pay $0.99 a month. In September of last year it became clear that monthly fee for 200 GB, 500 GB and 1TB of iCloud storage will be $3,99, at $9.99 and $19.99 accordingly.

A year later, Apple has revised the tariffs for cloud gigabytes. Now for $0.99 per month, the user gets 50 GB of disk space to store photos, videos and documents. Paying for $2.99 you can get 200 GB, and for $9.99 it is already possible to keep the cloud up to 1 TB. Free Apple also offers users 5 GB.

Some may be disappointed that Apple has generous 5 GB of free disk space in iCloud, believing that the number at present will not last long. Competitors offer for free three times — 15 GB instead of 5. At the same time, the updated prices are quite affordable and it is quite expensive for most users.
