Google has opened for all comers mail app Inbox, presented in February of this year. New customer applying for a replacement known Gmail, available on the iPhone and iPad.
All this time the Inbox was in the stage of public testing. To get access to Inbox by Gmail required an invitation that we had to request at the address email@example.com. Now Inbox can be used by everyone.
The app itself is constructed on the principle of the same Gmail, analogically to not only the structure of the program, but some elements – they just copied. The interface uses a modern Material Design.
If there are attached files, for example, photos, documents, videos or even link to YouTube, it will be displayed as large icons preview. In the lower right corner is a circle with a pencil that lets you go to write message. After pressing displays the list of the most frequently used contacts, which is convenient, do not need to enter the same address, and do not always remember it.
After opening any message shows the text and subject, sender and other useful information. You can quickly jump to the answer, “lock” message, set a reminder and mark the message as read.
On the top panel, which resembles the one in Gmail, there is a button with a magnifying glass – smart search according to reports, the lever that allows you to open secured message, and the additional function key. After clicking it will open a familiar menu that allows you to switch between different accounts or get into a sub-folder, which, by the way, you can create and own. And at the bottom we have the settings and background information.
Inbox by Gmail looks very simple, beautiful and quite unusual, the functionality of the program on top. Gestures – they were, and have new opportunities. Pleased notice in time and geo-location and function of sorting and grouping messages will appeal to pedants. Yes and lots of other things leave a pleasant feeling upon use.
