The KK Weibo user has published several renders of the iPhone 8, created on the basis of the schematic drawings of the upcoming flagship. To check the accuracy of the images is impossible, but before this user has repeatedly shared fairly accurate information about the still unannounced Apple products.
If you believe the published scheme, the apparatus has a height of 137,54 mm and width 67,54 mm, which is almost identical with the size of the iPhone 7. The thickness of the images is not specified. The screen takes up the entire front panel of the smartphone, and its diagonal is 5,768 inches. The display is protected by glass with a 2.5 D effect, but the edge runs a border thickness of 4 mm.
In the upper part of the front panel is the speaker. On both sides of it are front-facing camera, microphone, infrared sensor, proximity sensors and light. For rendering you will only see the speaker, other components, apparently, is integrated directly into the display panel. It’s not clear how Apple will implement it in practice.
The iPhone 8 is missing the traditional Home key with Touch ID. According to rumors, the company is working to integrate fingerprint scanner in the screen, but due to a technical problem to transfer it on the rear panel.
Dual camera are arranged vertically, and between the lenses is an led flash. As analyst Ben Bajarin increased the distance between the cameras will have a positive impact on the possibilities of augmented reality.
Recently edition iDropNews and Benjamin Gaskin published similar renders of the iPhone 8. Apparently, the image is based on the same schematic drawings.
