Netgear introduced the “world’s fastest” Wi-Fi router Nighthawk X10 [video]

Company Netgear announced the flagship model of router for home users. Nighthawk X10 supports the fastest Wi-Fi standard 802.11 ad, the total throughput of 7.2 GB/s (4600 MB/s in the range of 60 GHz, 1733 Mbps in the 5 GHz band and 800 Mbps in the 2.4 GHz band). According to the manufacturer, the novelty is the world’s fastest router.

In a router-based on a 4-core processor with a clock frequency of 1.7 GHz. Nighthawk X10 supports Multi-User MIMO (MU-MIMO) and is perfect for online broadcasting in 4K, and VR games.

Another distinctive feature of novelty is that it is the first, according to the company, the router in the industry, able to run a media server Plex Media Server.

In addition, the product has seven Gigabit Ethernet ports, two of which can operate in the mode of aggregation of lines, ports of 10 Gigabit Ethernet, allowing direct connection of a fiber-optic line, and a pair of USB 3.0.

The Netgear router will be available for a suggested retail price of $500.
