MTS March 27, refused a tariff with unlimited Internet “Smart Bezlimita”. This is reported by “Vedomosti” with reference to new conditions in the line of tariff of the operator. New subscribers will get 10 GB of Internet traffic per month.
Refresh rate “Smart Bezlimita” includes 350 minutes of calls and 350 SMS to all the numbers. Service fee is 550 rubles per month. The previous version of the fare cost about 589 rubles (19 rubles per day), the package includes 200 minutes of calls and many SMS.
Also the operator has changed the terms of other tariff plans of the Smart line. The changes will not affect existing subscribers, connected to unlimited tariffs. As told the representative of the company, the new tariff is cheaper, includes unlimited calls to MTS numbers, fixed packages traffic, minutes and SMS.
MTS expects that the new proposal will allow to increase sales contracts by a decline in sales points, which the operator launched in 2017. By the end of March, MTS retail chain will be reduced by 8% to 5725 points.
The company also said that the operator has analyzed the consumption profile of callers and found that the majority of Internet users are downloading at least 5-6 GB of data per month. “Taking into account the summation of the quota of the Internet traffic the new tariff will meet the needs of most Internet users,” he said.
The rates or options that allow subscribers to transfer data without limit, through 2016 introduced all the operators. However, in 2017 they began to abandon tariffs with unlimited Internet access.
Russian operators will gradually refuse from unlimited tariffs, said earlier the head of “Beeline”. The operators simply have no other choice, he said: 3G networks are already congested and 4G networks are loaded very quickly. The first of them in the end did not Beeline, Yota. In late January, the operator has introduced a new tariff range, where unlimited Internet access was gone.
In February, “the Megaphone” declared intention to close to new subscribers of the service “Unlim Internet”. The company said that unlimited offers are faced with a “total lack of interest” on the part of subscribers and “a small number of new connections.” Then Beeline abandoned most tariffs with unlimited Internet.
