Operator MTS announced about the readiness after “Beeline” to provide an opportunity for Board content in iTunes and the App Store from your mobile phone. The representatives of the company told the newspaper RBC.
“Beeline” became the first in Russia and second largest cellular provider, whose customers can pay for purchases in iTunes, App Store, and Apple Music from your mobile phone without the need to rely on a credit card. The value thus acquired programs will be included in the bill for mobile services.
That Apple launches in Russia, the service on payment of digital content from your smartphone in partnership with “Beeline”, on Thursday told broadcaster CNBC. Until now, the Russian operators of services not provided, and there was only one such partner Apple — the German O2. Cooperation Apple and “Beeline” organized by the scheme of revenue sharing: the operator will receive a percentage back from purchases subscribers.
The new service is available from 3 December to all clients “Beeline” in Russia on postpaid and prepaid tariff plans. In order to use it, the subscriber should choose a “mobile phone” as the payment method in your account settings on Apple Music Store iTunes or App Store on any Apple device. New payment option appeared in the settings automatically.
MTS also technically ready to introduce the possibility of payment of these services with Apple’s mobile phone accounts, said a company spokesman Dmitry Solodovnikov. “Waiting for readiness on the part of Apple,” he added.
Representatives of other operators did not indicate whether their company to cooperate with Apple and if they have such plans. In the Apple declined to comment.
