The device combines the features of smart watches and fitness bracelets is compatible with smartphones running iOS, Android and Windows Phone. The first Band has 10 sensors: optical sensor heart rate, triaxial accelerometer/gyro-sensor for determining the moisture content of the air, the GPS sensor, light sensors, skin temperature, ultraviolet radiation, capacitive sensor and a sensor for galvanic skin reaction. To connect to smartphones use Bluetooth 4.0.
From this week to purchase the Microsoft Band is only 100 dollars instead of 200 dollars. This is an acceptable price for a device with a fairly rich set of features and compatibility with all common mobile software platforms.
At the same time Microsoft accepts pre-orders for the second generation Band, presented along with the flagship Lumia 950 and Lumia 950 XL “killer” MacBook Pro and Surface Pro 4. The device, as stated, is designed for people who want to achieve more and lead a more healthy lifestyle.
