Microsoft has developed an intelligent camera for iOS devices

Research division of Microsoft has developed a new smart camera app for iOS devices. The application has called the Microsoft Pix.

Pix combines the capabilities of two existing tools Blink and Selfie. In the process, the program continuously selects the ISO setting and exposure and focuses on faces of people to be ready for the time of the shooting. When the user presses the shutter butto n, the app also offers a few frames before and after the time of the snapshot, to allow the user to choose the best frame.

Pix takes a series of images and can automatically select the most suitable image taking into account various indicators of quality, including sharpness, as well as open eyes and smiles. Video stabilization also takes into account the personalities in the frame.

Another feature of Microsoft Pix connected with the creation of a “living” photo. When the app notices an interesting movement in the frame, it turns it into a short video. The application also can improve the picture. When processing of the frame suppresses the noise using the information of the next frame, selected white balance, tone, brightness, contrast, correction is made bright and dark areas.

Microsoft Pix will be released in the App Store soon. The app will be available for download on iPhone and iPad at this link.
