Last week, Xiaomi introduced seven devices in Russia at once: four smartphones, televisions, a new fitness bracelet with NFC, and two televisions. You can see all models and prices in this text:
Seven new Xiaomi products for Russia: smartphones and Mi Band with NFC, as well as TVs
May 28, 2020
The main novelty, of course, was the Redmi Note 9 line. In addition to the Redmi Note 9S shown earlier, a review of which is already on our website, the range of these smartphones is expanded by two more models – the usual Redmi Note 9 and Redmi Note 9 Pro. Externally, two smartphones are very similar. There are very few differences. First of all, the camera module:
They are made in the general style, but the black backing on the usual Redmi Note 9 is larger. This is done because of the fingerprint scanner located on the rear panel just below the camera unit:
While in the Pro version, the scanner is located in the power button:
The camera of the Redmi Note 9 Pro looks neater:
Another external difference is the front cameras:
In both cases, these are cutouts in the screens, but in the Pro version the camera is located in the center. Perhaps this is the only moment where I like the normal version more than the advanced one – I do not like how the peephole of the front camera looks in the middle of the screen.
Both smartphones are quite similar to each other. They are quite large: 162.3 × 77.2 × 8.9 mm for Redmi Note 9 and 165.75 × 76.68 × 8.8 mm for the Pro version. The first received a display with a diagonal of 6.53 inches, and the second – 6.67 inches. In both cases, it is IPS. Because of what, both smartphones received a significant size of the "chins":
Both models have powerful batteries with a nominal capacity of 5020 mAh. Charging requires power supplies of appropriate power. In the box with Note 9, buyers will find 22.5 W charging, and with Note 9 Pro – 33 W. By the way, both models have NFC.
The younger model has a 48-megapixel camera, the older – 64 megapixels. Redmi Note 9 Pro is now in my review, and I can say that, in principle, a smartphone takes off very well with its own money, but about everything in a separate review. In addition to the main camera, smartphones received 8 megapixel ultra-wide, a macro lens and a module for measuring depth of field when shooting portraits.
Redmi Note 9 Pro goes on sale June 4. The official price for 6/128 GB is 23,990 rubles. The regular version will start selling on June 11th. Prices are as follows:
3/64 GB – 16,990 rubles;
4/128 GB – 18 990 rubles.
Xiaomi Mi Smart Band 4 NFC
There is nothing special to show here, since this version is no different from the usual Mi Smart Band 4. With one exception:
Russia, in addition to China, will be the only country where this gadget will work. Whether it will be possible to reflash this bracelet, bought in China, is unknown.
The official price of the Russian version of Mi Band 4 with NFC is 3990 rubles. Will go on sale June 16. Only MasterCard cards will be supported, but which banks are still unknown.
Xiaomi Mi Note 10 Lite
A “lite” version of a smartphone, a review of which I wrote half a year ago:
Xiaomi Mi Note 10: much more expensive than the top for the money
5 December 2019
Xiaomi has released an expensive smartphone that is not the flagship. Now the company decided to slightly improve the situation. Appearance updated:
The first Xiaomi MI Note 10 was interesting for its set of cameras: wide-angle, telephoto 2 ×, telephoto 5 ×, ultra-wide and macro. Of all the above, only a macro camera remained identical. The wide-angle one received half the resolution – 64 megapixels, not 108 megapixels. The ultrashirik does not take pictures at 20, but at 8 megapixels. And there is not a single “telephoto”. Instead, there is one camera for measuring the depth of field. I can’t say that I am glad about this.
But I’m glad about the 3.5 mm “jack” for headphones. Photo: Ilya Kichaev / Wylsacom Media
The battery here is as capacious as the older version – 5260 mAh. The kit still comes with a 30-watt power supply.
Display – 6.47-inch AMOLED. The cutout for the front camera is made in the form of a drop. In fact, before they took it from Xiaomi Mi Note 10. Only 90 Hz was added.
Like the Xiaomi Mi 10, there is Always-On Display, but it is not as bright as the Mi 10.
Xiaomi Mi Note 10 Lite is already on sale. The price of the only 6/128 GB version is 32,990 rubles.
Xiaomi Mi 10
Xiaomi's most controversial model. It's hard for me to look at this smartphone at the price of 69,990 rubles. And looking at this price, it becomes clear why we will not have Mi 10 Pro – it will be too expensive. The approximate price would be about 77-80 thousand, which in the understanding of Russian company buyers looks a little expensive.
And the company understands this – sales of Xiaomi Mi 10 will take place only online.
The smartphone is very similar in appearance to Xiaomi Mi Note 10, but only on the front panel is not a “drop” of the front camera, but a hole in the screen:
The camera is very small and takes up very little screen space. It looks good, but the rounded edges of the screen are the same as those of Mi Note 10. That is, phantom clicks cannot be avoided.
There is no “Jack” for headphones. Photo: Ilya Kichaev / Wylsacom Media
The smartphone has a very good battery: the nominal capacity is 4780 mAh, the kit comes with a 30-watt power supply, there is a 10-watt reverse charge. To all this, the Mi 10 supports 30-watt wireless charging. Great at all.
The smartphone is quite big: 162.6 × 74.8 × 8.96 mm and weighs 208 grams. And all because of the 6.67-inch AMOLED display. There is support for 90 Hz.
For Xiaomi Mi 10 they will ask for 69,990 rubles. It will go on sale June 4. The first customers who complete an order before June 10 inclusive will be given a Redmi Note 8 Pro in version 6/128 GB as a gift. And now the smartphone seems more attractive.
