LG introduced a new smartphone Q6 with a frameless design and facial recognition instead of fingerprint

LG unveiled a mini version of the flagship smartphone LG G6. Camera series LG Q6 was released in three versions LG Q6, Q6 LG+ LG and Q6a, each of which received a 5.5-inch frameless display with an aspect ratio of 18:9 and a resolution of 2880 x 1440 pixels.

Devices have practically frameless design and enclosed in the curved case aluminum frame. They are based on the Snapdragon chip 435 and is equipped with 13-megapixel main camera with led flash, wide-angle front-facing 5-megapixel camera, a battery of 3000 mAh and running Android 7.1.1 Nougat with the interface LG UX 6.0.

Smartphones differ from each other only by memory. And if LG Q6+ comes with 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of flash memory, the LG LG Q6 and Q6a use 3/32 and 2/16 GB GB of memory, respectively.

LG Q6 is not equipped with a fingerprint scanner, which came the face detection function.

In all three models supports LTE/3G/2G, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.2, NFC and USB Type-B 2.0 and their sizes are at the level 142,5 x 69,3 x 8.1 mm, weight — 149 grams. The device depending on the modification will be supplied in the colours of Astro Black, Platinum Ice, Marine Blue, Mystic White, Terra Gold.

Data on the prices yet, but this is a model of the middle segment, which, according to LG, “offer the key features of premium models at a special price”. In other words, instead of one compact flagship G6 mini, the company decided to release a range of devices.

Sale LG Q6 “key markets” of Asia will start next month and gradually spread to other countries in Europe, Latin America and North America.
