A Lenovo representative stated that the company refuses to shell Vibe UI Pure. All future smartphones will run on pure Android.
Lenovo gradually adopts the experience of its subsidiary, Motorola. Refusal to own the shell will speed up the updates of the smartphone and improve the user interface. According to the head of marketing of the Indian unit Lenovo Anuj Sharma, Lenovo has decided to pay attention to the suggestions of the users when deciding on its future strategy.
The first phone on Android is Lenovo K8. It will come with Android 7.1.1 and will be updated to Android O. But some technologies Lenovo will leave, for example, an audio add-on Dolby Atmos and convector TheaterMax which can convert any ordinary multimedia content in VR. In the future software smartphones Lenovo and Motorola will be indistinguishable.
