Kuo: in 2018, the new iPhone will receive the stainless steel and OLED displays

Sale iPhone X commenced on 3 November 2017, but Ming-Chi Kuo is already making predictions about how it will look like the Apple’s next smartphone generation.

In a new report Kuo prepared for component suppliers, it is reported that, most likely, in 2018 Apple will market two new models of iPhone. It is expected that both models will be equipped with OLED screens. The material for the buildings will serve as stainless steel. The quality of data at the new gadgets will be much better.

Metal frame iPhone X consists of four thin steel plates. Ming-Chi Kuo suggests that in the smartphone of 2018, the number of parts of steel will be increased. Such innovations will affect the appearance of the gadget. From the report it is not clear what will cause improvement in the transmission: whether Apple individual measures or the quality of communication will increase due to the overall upgrade of components.

Kuo believes that the Apple smartphone in 2018 will remind iPhone X, one of the models will be released in Plus size. Use Face ID will be expanded, and TrueDepth camera will be used not only for Animoji. However, the main camera will not undergo significant changes.

According to some projections, the system will be equipped with Face ID and updated the iPad Pro. Touch ID will remain in the past, although the iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus is unlikely to be removed from production in the next few years.

About the perceived value of the new flagships, nothing is known.
