Journalist after months of work with the iPad Pro could not return to Mac

Apple CEO Tim cook stated that currently the need for personal computers disappeared. “I think if you look at the PC, then the question will arise: why you still need to buy it? No, really, what is he to you?” wondered cook. Although many do not agree with Apple CEO, journalist Ben Brooks is of the opinion that cook’s words has some truth.

In November last year Brooks became the owner of a 12.9-inch iPad Pro. For a long time it was exclusively a tablet and just recently returned to the MacBook. According to him, he again looked at the organization of work with electronic devices and OS X it seemed to him an extremely outdated OS.

In the article “Amazing file system,” Brooks writes that OS X is a niche product and very soon the iPad will become more productive and handy than a MacBook.

“It’s like coming back home to my parents for the holidays, – the journalist writes about their feelings on OS x Is a home and it’s great. At the time, as sometimes it is great to be back home you will never want to stay there to live.

So now I’m considering a Mac. I love Mac OS X and MacBook, I have no problem with them. But knowing how work is organized in iOS, in many cases, I just don’t see any reason to go back to the Mac”.

Brooks acknowledged that while he is not ready to completely abandon the Mac because there are tasks that are still easier to do on OS X. “But this does not mean that I like to perform these tasks on a Mac, their just easier to do on a Mac,” he explained. According to the journalist, in the future with the development of iOS the need for the computer to completely disappear.

Just as modern children look at Windows 95 and wonder how it was possible to work with this OS, and through the years people will be surprised to see a modern OS X and Windows, in which every aspect is tied to the file system. Computer user should not know about the file system and files or to use the Terminal, I’m sure Brooks.

“Before, cars were simpler to repair, but very difficult to manage, – said the journalist. Modern cars are very difficult to maintain, but driving does not pose any difficulties”. The same goes for operating systems. “We will refuse from the idea of files, file system and terminal. The OS will be even more complex on the inside, but it will become easier and easier to use,” he said.
