Recently, Wallpaper magazine invited Apple’s design chief jony Ive for an interview. During the conversation, Ive shared his thoughts about the new campus of the company and the iPhone X.
Reporters asked Quince if he misses me at times of the iPod, which can be controlled using physical buttons. The designer said that he is much more like devices with touchscreen displays, which can change over time.
“I have always been fascinated by similar products. What’s truly amazing about the iPhone X is the fact that it completely depends on the software. The nature of operating systems and applications is changing. This means that the smartphone can seriously change over time. After 12 months this gadget will be able to do things he’s not capable of today. It is amazing. I think in the future we will again look at the iPhone X and understand that this is a very significant product, became a turning point for Apple,” added Ive.
In an interview with the designer talked about the future Apple Park. This is the second Apple campus, which became the new “home” for many of its employees. Johnny compared the headquarters with other products of the company and said that maybe it will change much after 10-20 years. Also Ive called main advantage Apple Park.
“There’s one thing that inspires me the most. Now we have a few private design studios that are located far from each other. Now we can all work in one place. Industrial designers sit close to the designers of fonts. And beside them — sound designers. A little further – people who work with graphics. And experts in the field of design of flowers, and so on. This link between the offices opens the way for us to cooperate and work better together,” – said Ive.
Apple Park construction was completed in September of this year, before the presentation of the iPhone X. on November 17 it will open a special area for visitors. People from around the world will be able to look at the new headquarters of Apple personally. However, to get to the office, where new products of the company, most likely, will not work.
