Developer Luke Todesco has released an update Yalu utility that lets you jailbreak iOS 10.2. As expected, the instrument is first received support for this OS version on iPhone and iPad.
Unfortunately, it is only the 64-bit Apple devices. Among the latest gadgets are only supported iPhone 6s, iPhone 6s Plus, and iPhone SE iPad Pro. Other models except for the iPhone 7, it will be possible to hack in the near future.
The iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus should stay on iOS 10.1.1, as it is the only version compatible with Yalu exploit for these devices.
Todesco still warns users about the presence of a number of shortcomings, since this is a beta version of the exploit. Apparently, we are talking about unstable operation of some tweaks because of the limited compatibility with iOS 10. It is also worth considering that untethered jailbreak for iOS 10.2 is poluprovodnik.
The good news is that if your device is supported by the new version of the Yalu, the transition from iOS 10.1.1 should be a breeze. Tweaks available for this version will work in iOS 10.2.
Users who have updated to iOS 10.2.1, you can now go back to 10.2 and iOS to perform the jailbreak. Instructions for downgrade published at this link.
