So, if you believe the data of Internet insiders, this will happen as early as next Monday, June 22, as part of the annual conference for developers WWDC 2020. It is there that, apparently, Apple intends to announce the transition to its own processors in computers of its own production. It is important to understand that the company has experience in developing at least mobile processors – the same iPhone and iPad have long been equipped with proprietary A-series chips.
Recall that in the early 90s of the last century, Apple “replaced” Motorola processors with PowerPC. But already in 2005, the manufacturer of Mac computers announced the transition to Intel processors, and in 2006 the first computer product of the company based on the new chip was released.
